My blog is about merchants in Port Jefferson, Long Island surviving the economic recession by clinging on to their shops and working extra hours to make ends meet.
I worked on this story for three months. I interviewed numerous of merchants in downtown and uptown Port Jefferson. Along with customers from the local stores. I also spoke to some officials from the Port Jefferson Village Hall.
I mainly told my story through one merchant. DJ Brown a shoe mechanic. His shop is located on 1512 Main Street, in uptown Port Jefferson.
I hope you learn something new from my blog. Click on the different pages up top to read my story, see my video, and other multimedia components. Feel free to comment. I am grateful for your time. Thank you.
